How to reach us

Email is the only channel. There is no phone number, no contact form and no support desk. This is a small operation. Pretending otherwise would give you three dead channels in place of one that works.

We aim to reply within a few working days. Requests under data protection law get an answer within one month, the deadline the GDPR sets. If a request is complex and we need longer, we will tell you before that month is up.

What to write about

Privacy and your data

Write to us for access, deletion, correction, objection, portability, withdrawing consent, or opting out of the sale or sharing of personal information under California law. Put "privacy request" in the subject line so it does not wait behind everything else.

Read the privacy policy first, especially the note about what we can and cannot find. For ordinary browsing we hold a salted hash instead of your IP address, so we usually cannot locate records tied to you. The system was built that way on purpose, and we are not brushing you off. A tool giving a wrong answer

This is the most useful email you can send us, and we want to get it. Include the tool, the exact values you entered, the result you got and the result you expected. If you have a source that says otherwise, such as a formula, a code section or a published table, send that too. Reports with numbers get fixed. Reports that just say "it is wrong" usually give us nothing to act on.

Calculator corrections are the only work here that jumps the queue. A calculator that gives wrong answers is worse than having no calculator at all.

A bug, or something broken

Tell us which tool, which browser and what happened. If a page threw an error, the message from the browser console helps a lot. Report layout problems on a particular phone too. We cannot test on every device.

Suggesting a tool

Go ahead. Tell us what you were trying to do and what you use today instead. We will not promise to build it, and we will not reply to every suggestion. We do read all of them, and they shape what gets built.

Advertising

If an ad here is misleading, offensive or malicious, send us a screenshot and the page you saw it on. Google serves the ads and we do not pick them. We can block categories and report specific advertisers, and we do both.

Copyright

If you think something here infringes your copyright, tell us what the material is, where it is, what it infringes and how to reach you. We will look at it and take down anything we should not be publishing.

Security

If you find a vulnerability, tell us before you tell anyone else, and give us a reasonable window to fix it. Include enough detail for us to reproduce it. Do not run automated scanners against the site, do not test anything that degrades service for other people, and do not access or change data that is not yours.

We have no bug bounty and cannot pay for reports. We will fix what you find, and credit you if you want the credit.

What we cannot help with

We build calculators. Interpreting their output for your situation takes qualifications we do not have, and trying would be irresponsible. So we cannot:

• Tell you what you are actually owed in a severance or support dispute.
• Interpret a lab result, a clearance value or a dose.
• Confirm that a wire size, a beam or a structural quantity is safe for your installation.
• Advise on a tax position, an investment or a purchase.
• Tell you whether you are fit or legal to drive. Never ask us this. Do not drive.

Each of those needs a professional who can see your whole situation and who is responsible for the answer. The terms of use list which kind of professional each tool calls for.

We also cannot recover anything you processed in a tool. The work happens in your browser and nothing reaches us. If you closed the tab, it is gone, and we have no copy to send you.
